The ZTZ99 is the most advanced tank of main combat (CCP) of the APL. The ZTZ99 provides for a significant improvement in firepower, mobility and protection against the old tanks made in China. Some of the ZTZ 99 were used to upgrade the least expensive ZTZ96 MBT.\nThe ztz99 shell is very similar to that of T-72, but is about one more meter. The turret and the shell are entirely welded steel armor. The front arc on the turret can be added with a composite shielding layer, or in the shape of an arrow spaced armored modules. The armor package is of modular design, allowing the damaged parts to be replaced or updated installed throughout the lifespan.
